Karen's art can be found in various print and online publications, where she frequently illustrates her husband's articles. Karen exhibits her work at the Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach during the summer and during the four-weekend Winter Fantasy show. She also teaches art classes and workshops year-round.

Karen's first book-length illustration project, The Complete Idiot's Guide to the Saltwater Aquarium, was published in September 2009, and is available on Amazon.
